most interesting / sincere / skilled emcee in the game right now…brother ali is crazy ill! “chapelle busts funny’s / mos def busts rhymes / muhammed ali is greatest of all time!”
Sorry this is a bit late. I really like this album, except on “Palm the Joker,” Brother Ali spits – “the chosen people stoned the prophets.” Does this smack of blood libel (the idea that the Jews killed jesus) and seem anti-semitic? I hope I’m wrong because I like this album a lot and want to listen with a clear conscience, but this coupled with the line that he’ll stand with a “bomb strapped to [his] abdomen” on Philistine David, seems awfully suspect. Someone please disuade my suspicions.
