POS’ last album was dope. If this track is any indication, this one will be too. Rhymesayers rule!

not feeling the beat too much, his flow is tight without question but sometime I totally miss what his trying to say.
I’ve listened to it five times and well the song has no lryical substence to it at all, it has this overall end of the world feel but lryically he’s spitting abstract verses and going on about doomtree. No real comments on society and war, I might be wrong but really it seems all style no real substance.

Beat,
I think P.O.S. is more about raw emotion than either style or substance. Whatever he’s ‘saying’ is informed by the inner pangs it takes him to say it, and that’s what matters to him.
We debate each other a lot, and its good time. keep it up!

Rota’ you got a perspective and are articulate, always good to get a cat who’s challenging. I agree pos works on emotion but I’m just not feelin’ it…

Song is more about an experience than a topic really, kind of an expansion on the old Mobb Deep “war going on outside.” And it’s just a sick mix of punk and hip hop. Bout time more people recognized the similarities between the two.
Been a fan of P.O.S. since seeing him in San Francisco in ’06. The whole Doomtree crew is nice too. I put P.O.S. up there with Murs in the cool guy, easy to talk to category. Always love seeing good artists who are also good people get recognized.

BeatRoot– it’s a brag track mixed with a light commentary on society in general. He’s bored with competition and bragging on Doomtree, mixed with a little dissatisfaction with the world in general, talking about his aggression and response to that and the tightknit nature of his group of friends.
His lyrics tend to be somewhat labyrinthine in terms of where meaning is hidden, but it’s in there. He does, though, also use style and words purely for emotion, but it’s usually to convey an emotion relevant to a situation or concept he’s already discussing.
