Buck 65 “Shutterbuggin’” Video
Buck 65’s unique brand of hip-hop never really caught on with me. But this track Shutterbuggin’ is dope.

In my eyes buck is the greatest lyricist not just in rap but in any musical genre I know. I highly recommend checking out his albums Vertex, Square, Talkin Honky Blues, and Situation… but actually all of his albums are just pure poetry over incredible hiphop-music (to just say beats would not do it justice).

For the first time I attended to one of his performance yesterday’s night, in Cork. Besides his music ( a gem in the hands of this craftsman), besides his technique (he had the decks yield to his yoke-screeching, whirring, wailing), besides his phrase (the arrangement of words tainted with wittiness, irony and humour keeps poundering in my head), the man also is a real “personage”. On stage, all the man’s peculiarities coalesce into a musical theatrico-performance, and I have relished it, revelled it and still is marvelling at it.
