What does musical talent have to do with it. Rap, my friend, is spoken word to a beat. His story is being told and not manufactured and glorified as the so called rappers do.

Rap on my oung brother and tell your story — the truth — remember some do not want to hear it and will use in excuse and others are just plain jealous

Rap, in general, has an ultimate goal of a message powerfull to bring people on common grounds or to better educate different cultures and societies about diverse lifestyles. I agree with Joy (previous comment), musical talent is only a relative opinion but a message only requires to be heard. A lot of hip hop or rap artists particularly in the states are the bi-products of record labels and are, in my opinion, only successfull businesses that promote violence for no particular reasons or cause, however i must say that there are those who have empowering and important messages about their own societies.
I personally encourage rap artists especially from Africa to tell the stories of the difficulties so people all over the world could relate and understand with an alternative percpective from the media.
