Some of All Parts “Run (Historical Moment)” Video

It looks like hip-hop is not just for Obama. This new song and video is in support of Green Party candidates Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente. And it makes a great case for voting Green in 2008.

I think voting Green is a pretty idealistic/childish move at this point in history. I am all for the Green Party getting 5% and becoming the real deal and all that…however, at the present moment we are all FUCKED. And certainly Obama isn’t going to fix it all, but I feel like this might be a time we need all potential Obama voters to vote for him, before we fuck around and end up with McCain and that chick, who looks like a hologram of some sort. Let’s not think like angry teenagers on this one…let’s make a practically sound decision. I’m mad political and shit.

It’s sad that we are forced to vote for the lesser of two evils. As my man Kweli once said, “We try to vote and participate in the government, but the motherfucking Democrats is acting like Republicans.”

I agree Kats. I voted for Nader in 2000 and never forgave myself for handing the election to Bush. While the Green Party comes closest to representing my core values, I gotta vote Democrat in ‘08. ‘Cause if McCain ends up in office, we’re screwed.

            Hey.
thanx for posting our video. It is important that we get the word out about voting, and that we have options. The only vote that doesn’t count is the one that is not counted or cast. The only vote that doesn’t matter is the one that is cast for someone you don’t fully believe in.

In 2000, Bush won because Gore did not represent the people who need to be represented. Bush also controlled the media and polls to convince people to vote for him. Bush also stole the election. He would of whether was a Nader or no one else. He did it in 2004 without Nader. So the truth is that the Green Party represents the people, and the time is now to help build that movement.

Obama may look very different but he won’t do much better than Clinton, and if you look into history of the Drug War, poverty, and other issues thats not that good. Good compared to Bush, but thats like struggling is better than death. So we gotta aim higher. Aim for your ideals, if that aligns with the Green Party, then come and support, if not, then find a party that represents you and your people.

            Peace.

I though Bush won because his daddys friends were on the supreme court…

As being english and have no say over the election, I hope Obama gets in because though he might not be perfect, he would do a far better job of building up international relationships which have been strained and broken over the past 8 years.

This is all true about 2000…I don’t think Nader lost the election for Gore then, I just think Gore sucked at running for President. And Jay-Izzle is right on, choosing what you perceive to be the lesser of two evils blows…still we know for a fact that the Green Party just won’t be viable ever in American politics…not unless we undue the entire capitalistic infrastructure…which we won’t without a real, violent revolution…which we won’t have because we have cable, Doritos and other cool shit to keep us calm…which it does until you watch the RNC and realize that the worse of the two evils is actually way scarier! Vote for Kats in 2009!
