Hell, I just recently opened a poetry slam/showcase/fundraiser (with Blue Scholars headlining) on the condition that I perform my Public Enemy piece ("Everything I Need to Know I Learned From Chuck D").<ul></ul> Great that Chuck is getting the credit he deserves, but there should be more of these since he’s had a tremendous influence on many current artists, from Roots and Monch to Sage and El-P, and even those in other genres.
