With his newfound success, Ye said he no longer dreams of buying a luxury car.

“I want to buy some walls, and I want to write everything I feel on the walls, with words or with images, to practise hip-hop culture through graffiti,” he said.

“I want to be free to tell people what I feel through my words and images.”

NOW THAT'S SOME REAL STUFF!

WHEN I WAS READING THIS AT FIRST I THOUGHT "THIS DUDE (YE2) IS MATERIALISTIC LIKE A HARLOT OR THESE POP RAP-SINGERS" COZ HE WAS INSPIRED TO MAKE A RECORD ON WATCHING A SLICK CAR GO BY HIS BLOCK.

I RELATE TO THAT SHIT THOUGH COZ WHERE I STAY- NOT MY HOME COZ I JUST DON'T FEEL AS PART OF IT- THE COMMON MAN LIVES LIKE A RAT OR A ROACH, THE GOVERNMENT AND THE INHERITRS FROM POST COLONIAL THIEVES AND GRABBERS OWN EVERYTHING PLUS US!

HIPHOP HAS LIBERATED A FEW OF MY PEOPLE- SURELY ME. PERSONALY, THIS MUSIC SETS ME IN A DIFFERENT ENVIRONMENT FROM THE ONE I LIVE IN- I'VE JUST RECALLED AESOP ROCK'S LINES, "...PAINTED A SUNNY DAY BEHIND MY EYELIDS..."-AND AT THE SAME TIME KEEPS ME SHARP ON WHAT'S REALY GOING ON AROUND AND IN ME COZ IT RELATES.

THE POP 'CULTURE' THAT HAS MOST PEOPLE LIVING IN THE FAKE DREAMS OF THE SINGERS... AND I GUESS IT PROVIDES A BETTER ALTERNATIVE TO THE HARSH ENVIRONMENT WHICH IS THE REALITY. WHAT PUZZLES ME IS THAT THEY MIMMICK THE 1ST WORLD POP SINGERS WHO CAN AT LEAST EAT FROM THAT SHIT... DOWN HERE, THEY JUST LIVE THIS LIFE IN VIDEOS, POSING WITH CARS AND GO BACK HOME TO A SHACK ON FOOT... DAMN!

I LIVE IN KENYA, JUST TO POINT OUT.
