50 Ways To Bleed Your Customer is the first release from B. Dolan’s upcoming album “Fallen House, Sunken City,” which is scheduled to drop March 2 on Strange Famous Records. Apparently, the new album is produced entirely by Alias and will be B. Dolan’s first all hip-hop record, which is definitely something I’ve been looking forward to hearing. I stumbled across this yesterday while researching my album review for Sleep’s “Hesitation Wounds” – which is a dope album. It’s a video for the intro track off that album. If you like this, check out the video for Orchestra of Strangers.

Sleep “Hesitation Wounds” Album Review
I heard of Sleep a couple years back when somebody emailed me some material from a Northwest hip-hop collective known as oldominion. But I never got around to listening to his music. Then recently, one of my connects over at Strange Famous Records sent me Sleep’s track Lothar, which I posted on HHL. Then about a month ago, when I stumbled across a video for Sleep’s Orchestra of Strangers, I was so impressed that I immediately picked up a copy of “Hesitation Wounds.” And I’ve been bumping the album regularly ever since. This is a dope track that Strange Famous Records just released from it’s vault, which was apparently recorded sometime last year. It features Mac Lethal and B. Dolan trading rhymes back and forth. Click below to listen to Mac Lethal & B. Dolan’s Free Floating Hostility:

This is a new track from Prolyphic of Strange Famous Records – who is currently working on an album with labelmate Buddy Peace. NY Jets is a song about the anxiety involved in being a Jets fan, and I was impressed how the lyrics really dig into some of the team’s history, successes, and recent struggles. As a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan, however, I can say that Jets fans gotta be feeling aiight right about now. Shit, the team could make the playoffs still – and definitely has something to look forward to in the near future. Unlike my Browns. Click below to listen to Prolyphic’s NY Jets:

Prolyphic became one of my favorite emcees on the Strange Famous Records roster back when he and Reanimator dropped “The Ugly Truth” – which became one of my favorite albums of 2008. Haven’t heard much from him since, so I was pleased to find a new track for FREE download on the SFR site. Fake Limps features Cubbiebear, who also produced the song, and Seez Mics of Educated Consumers – along with cuts by DJ Addikt. Click below to listen to Prolyphic’s Fake Limps:

This is a new video for B. Dolan’s Still Electric, a track from his latest album “The Failure.” If you’re into spoken word poetry and performance art, you should definitely peep it. Also check out his “House of Bees Vol. 1” Mixtape, which contains more rapping than “The Failure” and is available for FREE download.
“Smash Smash Bang” is a brand new five-track EP by the Metermaids, one of my favorite local underground hip-hop groups. They dropped the album a couple weeks ago, during which we featured Matchbooks as HHL track of the week. Now, though their affiliation with Strange Famous Records, the Metermaids are now offering a FREE download of their new album. Click below to download the Metermaids’ “Smash Smash Bang” for FREE:
