Wow. Just a couple months ago, I saw this dude rock a show in NYC. He jumped off stage, started dancing with the crowd, and ended up jumping up and down with his arm around me. Now I wish I would’ve introduced myself, or maybe thought of something to say … RIP.
By the Time I Get to Arizona 2010 is the second hip-hop track in the past couple of weeks that has been released in response to the Arizona immigration bill. If you like this, check out Chuck D’s Tear Down That Wall. After the break, check out Toki Wright’s statement. (more…)
This is a nice little freebie that should appeal to all Felt fans. The new Rhymesayers’ duo Grieves and Budo remixed a handful of tracks from Felt’s ’09 release “FELT 3: A Tribute to Rosie Perez,” and put them together as this free EP. As a side note, if you buy the accapellas & instrumentals of Felt’s last album from iTunes, all proceeds will be donated to 826 National, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6-18 with creative and expository writing skills. I stumbled upon this nice freebie through the Rhymesayers’ website this weekend. “Woman@Work” is a FREE 10-track album being offered by Psalm One as she is finishing up her new Rhymesayers album. “Woman@Work” features original production from Mulatto Patriot, Earmint and Ethan Stoller. All tracks were recorded, mixed and mastered at Mulatto Patriot Productions. Click below to download Psalm One’s “Woman@Work” for FREE:
Big ups to BeatRoot for sending this over. “BlackMale” is an 8 song digital EP of all brand new music from Toki Wright. Apparently, these are all tracks Toki has created over the past six months while touring the country to promote his latest album “A Different Mirror.” Click below to download Toki Wright’s “BlackMale” for FREE:
This is a little holiday album preview from Felt that Rhymesayers dropped on their YouTube channel last night. They’re apparently trying to get you to pick up a copy of Felt’s new album “FELT 3: A Tribute to Rosie Perez.”
