Allan Pineda Lindo knew struggle and perseverance early in life. An abandoned child of an American serviceman stationed at the former Clark Air Base in Pampanga, he planted rice and other crops to help his mother earn a living. When the opportunity came for him to travel to the US, he learned to speak English by reading a dictionary.

The magazines have confirmed what they have been reporting for days: Ryan Reynolds, Lynn Collins and Danny Huston have joined the cast of Wolverine … but wait, there is another. Hip hop superstar will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas has also joined the cast, and will be playing John Wraith - aka Kestrel.
According to Wiki, Kestrel was part of Team X along with Wolverine, Sabretooth, Maverick, Mastodon, and Silver Fox. He was a powerful teleporter, capable of getting the team out of sticky situations after their job was finished. (more…)
Pepsi has reinforced its marketing campaign by tapping the popular hip-hop sensations Black Eyed Peas as its new celebrity endorsers.
According to Charlie Jitcharoongphorn, marketing director of Pepsi-Cola (Thai) Trading Co, the Black Eyed Peas tie-in is designed to inspire consumers to get involved with the brand. The company also plans a six-million-baht promotion that includes luxury cars as prizes. (more…)

These statements appear to have sparked some controversy among hip-hop fans. While some feel that Will.I.Am is correct and that hip-hop has lost its way to the bling gangsterism of MTV, BET and corporate controlled playlists, others feel that the Black Eyed Peas are sellouts and not representative of hip-hop, and thus are not in a position to comment on its status.
