Heavy Metal was my favorite track off of Bisc1’s “The Stay Up Project Mixtape.” So I was definitely amped when he remixed it for his latest release “When Electric Night Falls.” This is a new video for that remix.
UGHH caught up with Bisc1 during this year’s A3C Hip-Hop Festival to talk about his many talents, his experiences with Def Jux, and his great new album “When Electric Night Falls.”
Bisc1 “When Electric Night Falls” Album Review
This album is somewhat of a paradox. From a production standpoint, the beats are overwhelmingly dark and grimy, and feature gritty baselines and heavy electronic synths to demonstrate an eerily futuristic sound. From a lyrical standpoint, however, Bisc1 creates a much more positive vibe. While the album’s verses are compiled of several stories of struggle and hardship, the experiences are told mixed with optimistic interpretations and philosophical thought. This effect makes “When Electric Night Falls” an interesting combination of intelligent feel good lyrics over hauntingly eclectic beats. (more…)

The other list contains the top hip-hop albums from minor independent labels and unsigned hip-hop artists. Bisc1 “The Stay Up Project Mixtape” Album Review
A lot of review-specific websites will review just about anything, good or bad. Not here homie. We follow the whole ‘If you ain’t got nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all’ philosophy.
