Reef seems to be everywhere these days. Just this week alone, dude has been featured in Dumhi’s Philly Cousins and Eternia & Moss’ At Last videos. Not That Easy is very different from what we’re used to seeing Reef do, but apparently his upcoming album “Fight Music” is going to be more of this “hardcore punch you in the mouth” music. Track features Ethel Cee.
I got to say that I like every single track Random puts out these days. Not sure if The Won Too is old or new material, but Big Ran is giving it away FREE right now in celebration of his upcoming “Forever Favicon” album – the third installment in his Mega Ran gamer series. The Won Too features DN3. If you like this, you should also preview two tracks from “Forever Favicon” – Dream Master and Epoch. Click below to listen to Random’s The Won Too:

This is another nice preview track from Homeboy Sandman’s upcoming album “The Good Sun” – scheduled to drop June 1. I’m really digging what I’m hearing from the new album thus far. If you like this, check out Angels With Dirty Faces and Bonkers – a track that didn’t make the album’s final cut. Click below to listen to Homeboy Sandman’s Yeah, But I Can Rhyme Though:

I stumbled upon this video on Kevin Nottingham’s YouTube channel this morning. Afraid features Maverick Sabre, and is a track from Jermiside & Danny Diggs’ new album “Middle Classic.”
This is a nice little freebie being released in celebration of Apollo Brown’s new album “The Reset.” The track is a remix of Diamond District’s Streets Won’t Let Me Chill the group’s debut album “In the Ruff.” The Streets Won’t Let Me Chill Remix features Oddisee, yU, and X.O. of Diamond District on vocals. FREE Download: The Roots “Dear God 2.0″
24-May-10
The Roots’ upcoming album “How I Got Over” is probably my most anticipated album of the year. Dear God 2.0 is the second leak from the record, which is scheduled to drop in late June, and features Jim James and Monsters of Folk – serving as a remake of Monsters of Folk’s original Dear God. If you like this, check out the upcoming album’s title track How I Got Over. Click below to listen to The Roots’ Dear God 2.0:

Talib Kweli’s Papers Please is the third, and undoubtedly the best, hip-hop response to the Arizona immigration bill that I’ve come across in the past couple of weeks. It’s nice to see the hip-hop community getting involved. If you like this, check out Toki Wright’s By the Time I Get to Arizona 2010 and Chuck D’s Tear Down That Wall.
