This track immediately jumped out at me this morning from everything else in my inbox. On Ya Head is the first leak from yU’s upcoming album “Before Taxes” – dropping in April. Click below to listen to yU’s On Ya Head:

Now y’all know I normally refrain from posting stuff that is on all the other blogs, but I had to feature this one for those of you who don’t frequent the popular sites. It’s Funny features a ridiculous verse by Joell Ortiz (another one of those cats I’d feature all the time if the other blogs didn’t so heavily), and is the first single from Eternia & MoSS’ highly-anticipated album “At Last” – which is scheduled to drop in April on Fat Beats Records. “At Last” features a long list of dope and historical emcees, including Joell Ortiz, Termanology, Daytona, Reef The Lost Cauze, Lady Of Rage, Rah Digga and Jean Grae. Brotha Lynch Hung seems to be coming hard on his upcoming album “Dinner and a Movie” – as Colostomy Bag is the second tight video I’ve come across from the album. If you like this, check out his video for I Plotted.
While I’ve pretty much given up hope of Rhymefest’s much-anticipated “El Che” ever being released, although it is scheduled to drop in May, at least dude keeps putting out a lot of free mixtapes. Letter is a track from Rhymefest’s upcoming mixtape “Dangerous: 5-18″ – dropping in April. Apparently, Letter will also be appearing in video form soon via Court Dunn’s “One Shot” video series. Bisco Smith “The Broadcast” Album Review
This is my subway album. I say that about an album maybe once or twice a year, and this is the first for 2010. Basically, my subway album, also known as my morning commute album, is something that I listen to in the morning while I’m riding the train to my daily grind. My subway albums generally have four attributes: 1. they make my head nod; 2. they’re motivational; 3. they’re lyrical; and 4. they don’t last longer than my commute. Bisco Smith’s “The Broadcast” meets each of these criteria. (more…)
What can I say? Dude’s music makes me happy. Give Love is like the fourth track I’ve come across from MC Yogi – and all of them are positive and happy songs. If you’re into this vibe, check out Universal Healthcare, Grassroots Movement, and the Obama-campaign-inspired Vote For Change.
These cats from Custom Made have seriously impressed me recently. Self Explanatory is a track from Element’s new album “A Long Story Short.” If you like this, check out the crew’s video for Sunday Money.
Never heard of this cat, but somebody shot me over this video and I thought it was dope. Non Title Match is a track from Moe Green’s upcoming album “Rocky Maivia.”
I came across Haji P. a couple weeks back when he released a pretty impressive free mixtape titled “Home Repair EP,” which you can download for FREE here. Well it was just this weekend when I realized that album was just a precursor to his debut album “Neighborhood Kid.” Good Grief is the first release from that new album, which was produced by DJ Mf Shalem. Diction is a Portland-based emcee I came across a couple years ago when he and Serge Severe dropped a nice compilation album titled “Our Purpose.” This is the first material I’ve heard from him since. Don’t Stop is a track from Diction’s new album “Truth Serum,” and the track features verses by Killah Priest and Serge Severe. Click below to listen to Diction’s Don’t Stop:
