Ups to KD at Groove Control Entertainment for sending this over. Never heard of this cat before, but was feeling the video and track. Dutty Devioso is an underground hip-hop artist representing Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
I’ve been waiting for new Reflection Eternal material for damn near a decade now. And while I know this is just a single and doesn’t mean there will be a new album coming, I’m allowed to hope, right? Just Begun features Jay Electronica, Mos Def & J Cole. Click below to listen to Reflection Eternal’s Just Begun:

Brother Ali posted this on his website a couple of days ago, but I didn’t get a chance to check it out until my holiday vacation to the Midwest allowed me to experience the blizzard firsthand. Right now, I’m stuck inside due to the snow, and am really appreciating this blizzard-inspired track. Click below to listen to Brother Ali’s Blizzard Rap ‘09:

Big ups to Mark Carranceja and Noisemaker Media for sending this video over. This is their most recent episode of The True School Park Jam Series featuring Biz Markie and Kid Capri.
Big ups to the cats at Backwoodz Studioz for sending over yet another dope mixtape. I came across MarQ Spekt last year when he and Karniege, known collectively as The Invizzibl Men, dropped “The Unveiling,” which included such bangers as Jimmy Swagger, T-Rex and Thin Air. Then earlier this year, MarQ dropped a FREE mixtape called “Guilty Party.”
Now MarQ Spekt is back with his second FREE mixtape of 2009, “Bloodlust Vol. 2,” which features a long list of dope emcees, and thus far seems to be his best work to date. Click below to download MarkQ Spekt’s “Bloodlust Vol. 2″ for FREE:
This is a little holiday album preview from Felt that Rhymesayers dropped on their YouTube channel last night. They’re apparently trying to get you to pick up a copy of Felt’s new album “FELT 3: A Tribute to Rosie Perez.”
This is a nice little jazzy track for you right before the holiday. In preparation for their upcoming album “New World Symphony,” Chosen Few are dropping a series of collaborative tracks, collectively titled Sounds From The Fewchr. Checkin’ In is the latest, which features Bay Area emcee Jern Eye. Click below to listen to Chosen Few & Jern Eye’s Checkin’ In:

Brooklyn underground emcee Kats is back with his first solo effort in 18 months – and the latest FREE album from NYC’s own FreeIceCream crew. “I Can Levitate” picks up where Kats left off with the crew’s Almost Fameless mixtape series, and contains a lethal combination of rhyme play, battle raps and punchlines mixed with some personal stories and themes. Despite being a short 10 tracks and barely 25 minutes long, “I Can Levitate” features some of my favorite rappers of the local underground hip-hop scene, including Domer, Ryan-O’Neil, ScholarMan and Renaissance.
