I should really try to stay up late enough to check out Jimmy Fallon more – because he shows hip-hop a lot of love. This is a live performance that aired last week of Talib Kweli, Mos Def and The Roots band performing History from Mos’ latest album “The Ecstatic.”

Audio: Spokinn Movement “Flows”
25-Nov-09
I normally don’t post these YouTube mp3 tracks. But I’ve been waiting to hit y’all with some more Spokinn Movement since they dropped “60 Min Spin Cycle” a couple years back – and this is all I’ve been sent to date. Flows is a track from an NYC compilation album the group was a part of a while back called “NYC Subway: Songs from the Underground.” Spokinn Movement has another album dropping in early 2010.
B. Dolan “Still Electric” Video
25-Nov-09
This is a new video for B. Dolan’s Still Electric, a track from his latest album “The Failure.” If you’re into spoken word poetry and performance art, you should definitely peep it. Also check out his “House of Bees Vol. 1” Mixtape, which contains more rapping than “The Failure” and is available for FREE download.
I had to peep this when I saw it was a mixtape dedicated to De La Soul. But once I started listening, I realized that it features some dope emcees, including Phife, Kweli, Camp Lo, Kardinal, Skillz, and more. There’s even an intro appearance by a couple of my favorites from the NYC underground such as Homeboy Sandman, Von Pea and Señor Kaos. This tribute is definitely worth the FREE download.
