Brand new video from NYC hip-hop group the Metermaids, who’s album “Nightlife” was one of my favorites of 2008. If you like this, peep their video for Feel Alive, and check out former HHL track of the week Come Home. The group is currently offering Turn The Lights Out for free download here.
One Be Lo just signed with MYX Music Label to release his upcoming album “B.A.B.Y.” Apparently, the new album is autobiographical of the One Be Lo’s life as a youth in Pontiac Michigan, focusing on the experiences with school, peers, family, the army, and crime. And what’s more, “B.A.B.Y.” will be a multi-media project encompassing music, film, books, clothing, and toys. The Pigs, which features Mike Posner, did not make the album, so I guess Lo decided to give it away free. Click below to listen to One Be Lo’s The Pigs:

Brand new video for Doomdays off brokeMC’s latest album “Seeing Things.” If you like this, peep former HHL quotable of the week Every Damn Day People.
New video for Hate Aside off Sandpeople’s new EP “Long Story Short.” If you like this, peep former HHL track of the week Strands.
When the NYC underground artist formerly known as Bisc1 changed his name to Bisco Smith, he also seems to have changed his style up as well. Morning Breath is the first single for Bisco’s upcoming album “The Broadcast,” and is a statement about the “marathon of life” and where it ultimately leads you. Brand new video for When Animals Attack, from Phillip Morris’ “The Process of Addiction Has Its Costs.” Track features Number 2. If you like this, check out former HHL quotable of the week The MILF Song and Phillip’s last video for Mr. Morris.
I first came across North Carolina producer Lagbara last month when I found him to be the beatmaker behind ScholarMan’s In My Life. Then this morning, he released a brand new EP through Soganic Music for FREE. Travelinā is a hip-hop instrumental EP. Click below to download Lagbara’s Travelinā for FREE:
I’m definitely looking forward to the upcoming Swollen Members album, “Armed To The Teeth,” which is scheduled to drop sometime in September. The new album features La Coka Nostra, Talib Kweli, and Tech N9NE, and apparently revolves around the group’s recent struggles with drug addiction, legal battles and a label split. Warrior is the first leak from that album, and the shit bumps. Click below to listen to Swollen Members’ Warrior:

Brand new video for Set A Blaze, from Azeem’s latest album “Air Cartoons.” If you like this, check out his videos for Open Em Up and Latin Revenge.
