This mixtape is mad old (dropped late ‘08), but I decided to re-post it today as HHL’s own little tribute to Michael Jackson. This weekend, I went drinking with my homie D-Wizzle, and every bar we went to was bumping nonstop MJ. Toward the end of the night, I went back to my place to blaze one and decided to continue to reminisce over Rhymefest’s Michael Jackson tribute album, the “Man in the Mirror” mixtape.
If you haven’t already done so, make sure you download this album, which has honestly raised the bar for all future mixtapes in my mind. Click below to download Rhymefest’s “Man in the Mirror” mixtape for FREE:
This week’s track of the week is SFR Pays Dues from Sage Francis’ new mixtape “Sick of Wasting.” Overall, the mixtape is another must have for Sage fans, as it contains a couple old tracks, a couple new tracks (including Conspiracy to Riot), and a bunch of that Sage Francis humor and swagger. SFR Pays Dues is a Strange Famous collaboration track that features verses by B. Dolan and Prolyphic. Click below to listen to the track:

It appears this Jimmy Fallon thing continues to work out really well for the Roots. How I Got Over is apparently the title track to their upcoming album. And this video shows them performing it live on last night’s Jimmy Fallon show.
I ain’t gonna lie, I was a little skeptical about Cage’s new shit when he dropped the video for I Never Knew You. But Look At What You Did, the most recent release from Cage’s upcoming album “Depart From Me,” got me interested again. From my perspective, Cage rips it here. Click below to listen to the track:

This week’s underground hip-hop track of the week is Cymarshall Law’s King With 4 Wives, one of my favorite tracks from his dope album “Hip-Hop in the Soul.” Due to the song’s popularity, Law decided to make a video for the track, and that video is scheduled to drop in two weeks. In the meantime, he is offering King With 4 Wives for free download to prepare for the video release. Click below to listen to the track:

This is a little old, but I just stumbled across it and decided to post anyway. Original Rudeboys is a track from Everliven Sound’s 2008 album “Freedom.” If you like this, you should also check out their video for So Cruel.
